The Governor Inuwa Yahaya-led Anambra All Progressives Congress Governorship Primary Election Appeal Committee, Monday, submitted its report with an assurance that victory at the coming governorship election in the state is its priority.

Governor Yahaya of Gombe State stated this while handing its report to the APC CECPC national secretary, Senator John Akpanudodehe, at the Buhari House national headquarters.

He said, “We worked all day, including weekend, to make sure we not only finish the assignment on record time but also did a thorough job that would ensure we will all go to Anambra as a team. Our aim is to go out there in Anambra to deliver our party, APC.”

Disclosing that the Committee took time to hear virtually all the petitioners, he said, “We went through their petitions and we have written our reports based on the materials that helped us to prepare and know our recommendations and that is what we did. For now, all the documents are with the National Caretaker/Extraordinary Congresses Planning Committee.”

The committee chairman maintained that his team did justice to the assignment given as it did not only talk with all the contestants but also talked with some senior officer from the South-East, particularly Anambra State.

He said, “Anything that you bring is not a challenge to me as far as I am concerned. It is a working document and I did work with it.”

Receiving the report on behalf of the CECPC national chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni, the national secretary commended the Committee, saying, “You have shown honour as a true party man with the speed and expediency you handled the assignment. Party supremacy will guide what will be done.”
