The All Progressives Congress Youth Movement on Thursday stormed the Buhari House secretariat of the party to demand for the sack of the Governor Mai Buni-led Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.

The youth’s demand followed the Supreme Court judgment on the Ondo State governorship election that technically faulted the CECPC.

Speaking with newsmen, Princess Aisha Audu said, “We have patiently watched to get the Party’s reactions to the Supreme Court judgment of yesterday which we narrowly escaped. However, we want to congratulate Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on his victory, an exceptional governor. We might have lost that state if not for God. But in that light we are not prepared to take that anymore.

“We cannot continue playing this game with our party, with our future, our lives. Enough is enough. I believe that within the APC we have capable hands regardless of the generation at this time, we have capable hands, former leaders that can manage the affairs of our party. At this point in time, why must it be one in individual or the other?”

Aisha Audu maintained that it was a bit selfish for the party to hang its hope on one individual, a sitting governor who has busy critical issues to manage in his state considering the security problems bedeviling the entire country.

“Why must we allow the Party’s affairs in the hands of a very busy governor, who is thinking of how to better the lives of his people, move people from poverty, how to create jobs, and a lot of tasks ahead of him and we expect him to man a party like APC, the largest party in the whole of West Africa and do well. We are not being fair to him.

“We should not rush to go ahead with the Congresses, or the conventions or a lot of things we are doing now. We need to clean our house and be sure we are on the right path. These things can wait while we put our house in order.”
