Confusion beclouds actress Sotayo Sobola’s Sotee

Some few years back, slim-built, light-skinned beautiful lady, Sotayo Sobola, debuted in the movie industry and her case turned out an instant hit. Although not in terms of her exploits in the industry, she became much-talked about as she came with her own glamour, courtesy of some money she had to play with. Her exploits, till date, are still nothing to write home about, but she’s remained a subject of discussion among her peers and in some quarters, in the public.
Memories of the magnitude of what went into the commissioning of her Magodo, Lagos, office, that houses her entertainment and production outfit, are still fresh.
A few years down the lane, after she floated the multi million naira outfit, fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, the actress seems to have run into a state of confusion that many are not sure if she’s getting her moves right.
She’s said to have transformed her duplex office from a movie and television studio into a fashion house. According to inside sources, this move came after several failed attempts at movie and television productions. Information filtering in does not suggest Sotayo is still interested in Sotee as an entertainment company, as the ground floor of her duplex office that was once littered with production equipment and design, now has tailors occupying it. It was, however, revealed she’s set to roll out the first set of the collections under her fashion line.
Similarly, her movie academy, where students allegedly paid about N50,000 to enroll, may have equally unofficially been shut down as no activities have been recorded in that area.
Frontline actor, Antar Laniyan, said to be the principal of the academy, and the other lecturers expected to tutor the students, are alleged never to be on ground. Sources informed comic actor, Tunde Bernard, aka Baba Tee, is the only one who ever came around once to give some words of encouragement to the students of the academy.
