Former NCC Chairman, Durojaiye, dies at 88

A former chairman of the board of commissioners for Nigerian Communications Commission and Fourth Republic Senator on the platform of Alliance for Democracy, Olabiyi Durojaye , is dead.

The Point newspaper learnt that he died on Monday, in Lagos, after a brief illness.

He died at the age of 88.

He had represented Ogun East Constituency in the upper chamber of the National Assembly at the start of the Fourth Republic on the platform of AD in 1999.

He was an elected member of the 1988/89 Constituent Assembly.

In 1992, he was a candidate to run for the presidency on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, losing to late M. K. O Abiola.
