THE wife of a lecturer at the Delta State University, Dr. Sunny Ojoboh, has been kidnapped.
Ojoboh lectures in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University.
The kidnap victim, said to be a staff of Erho Secondary School, Abraka, was reportedly abducted from her shop along old Eku-Abraka road on Monday evening.
The kidnappers were said to have fired sporadic shots to scare people.
Amid the commotion, they were said to have whisked her into a waiting vehicle and zoomed off, while also reportedly driving away her Lexus Jeep.
The suspected kidnappers have not however made contact with any of the victim’s family members, it was learnt.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident.
