The Nasarawa State chapter of the Tiv Development Association has appealed to the Federal Government to deploy troops to border towns between Nasarawa and Benue states to curtail further attacks by suspected herdsmen in the area.
President, TIDA, Mr. Boniface Iter, who made the appeal, said the military would facilitate the restoration of peace in the border towns.
He said the call became imperative due to the attacks and killings of seven of their people in the early hours of Monday in Kadarko village by suspected herdsmen.
Iter said, so far, seven corpses of those murdered by the suspected herdsmen had been recovered, while many others were still missing.
