House helps defile employer’s 2-yr-old daughter in Lekki

The police have arrested two househelps, Peace Sunday, 19, and Bose Augustine,18, for allegedly defiling their employer’s two-year-old daughter at Garden 2 Horrizon Estate, Lekki, Lagos.

Trouble began for the suspected rapists, when the mother of the child noticed a blood stain on her cloth and raised the alarm.

The situation attracted neighbours, who suspected the house maids had defiled the minor and called the Police to arrest them.

It was learnt that the suspects, who later confessed to committing the crime, were kept behind the bars for further investigation.

According to their confession, they defiled the minor with their fingers and stick.

A source, who didn’t want his name mentioned, said the suspects took the opportunity to defile the minor, when the employer was attending to a pressing issue in the house.

“These people are well treated by the family. The woman has been treating these people as her family members until they misbehaved and defiled her daughter with fingers and stick. They perpetrated that horrible act when they noticed the woman was busy with some house work. They were later exposed when the woman noticed a blood stain on the little girl’s cloth. She raised the alarm and called the police, who came to arrest them,” he said.

Meanwhile, a police source said the suspects had been cooling their heels in the police net.

He also explained that medical test carried out on the minor revealed that she was violated and defiled.

Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, while confirming the incident, said the suspects would face the full wrath of the law if indicted after investigation.

He, however, warned that police in Lagos State would not tolerate any criminal act within its jurisdiction.
