How two kidnappers met their waterloo in Lagos

Last Monday, in the Aboki area of Ayobo, Lagos, two suspected kidnappers met their tragic end when their attempt to abduct two young siblings failed.
The suspected kidnappers had made attempts to abduct the two young boys, simply identified as Sadiq and Akeem, who were on their way home from a Quranic school in the area.
The suspected kidnappers, who rode on a motorcycle, had allegedly first cast a spell on the two boys, making them unconscious in order to make it easier for them to abduct their victims.
The suspects had already picked up the boys on their motorcycles and were already escaping with them when one of them, Akeem, suddenly regained consciousness and raised the alarm that he and his elder brother were being kidnapped by the two strange men.
The distress cries by Akeem as their alleged kidnappers were whisking them away on the motorcycle attracted passersby, who immediately began to pursue the motorcycle conveying the suspects and their victims.
Fortunately for the two boys, virtually everybody around the area joined in the pursuit of the suspected kidnappers.
And when the suspected kidnappers realised that those pursuing them were closing in on them, they threw down the two boys from the motorcycle to enable them to easily escape being caught.

As the security guard was questioning the fake taxi driver, a lady, who had fallen his victim some weeks back, but was lucky to have escaped unhurt, recognised the suspected kidnapper and quickly raised the alarm!

The two boys landed on the road with a thud and sustained severe injuries.
But despite the antics the suspected kidnappers quickly adopted by dropping off their victims on the road, the party, which had now grown into a mob, kept pursuing them.
Unfortunately, as the fleeing suspected kidnappers made an attempt to get to the expressway to make their escape faster and easier, they rammed into a commercial bus, popularly called Danfo, and both of them died instantly on the spot.
When other people in the area learnt from the mob pursuing them earlier that the two men had attempted to kidnap two young boys and were only running to escape from being caught when they had an accident and died, they left their corpses by the road.
Policemen later came to the scene of the accident to evacuate the suspected kidnappers’ corpses to the mortuary.
The kidnapped children were also taken to a hospital in the area for the treatment of the injuries they sustained during the incident.
