Lagos women endorse Ambode for 2019

Hundreds of women in Lagos, led by the All Progressives Congress Women leader in the South West, Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Nelson, have endorsed Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for a second term.

The women, at a mega rally organised by the APC Women in Lagos, highlighted six prominent points, which formed the basis for their endorsement of Ambode.

According to them, the governor had favoured women by giving them a good representation in his government.

They said that the five women serving in the State Executive Council in Lagos remained the highest ever, adding that his administration had also appointed two women as Head of Service; “21 women in the body of 48 permanent secretaries, again the highest ever, two women director generals, out of the six in Lagos; a woman as the Chairman, Lagos State Public Service Commission, the state’s highest employment organ; and a woman as the Chairman, Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, to handle state’s election matters.”
