THE Governing Council of the Lagos State University, Ojo, has approved the promotion of 11 new professors and 296 others.
On the list of the newly promoted staff are 12 associate professors, 18 other academic staff, and 266 non-academic staff in varying categories.
The Coordinator, Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations, Ademola Adekoya, who disclosed this, said two deputy registrars and two deputy bursars were among the promoted non-teaching staff.
Eleven associate professors were elevated to the position of professors, 12 senior lecturers were moved to the level of associate professors, while 14 were promoted from Lecturer 2 to Senior Lecturers.
Also, one staff was promoted from Lecturer 1 to Lecturer 2; one person from Assistant Lecturer to Lecturer 1, while a senior librarian was promoted to Principal Librarian.
