NDDC, Obaseki partner on Benin/Abraka road project

The Edo State representative in the Niger Delta Development Commission, Hon. Saturday Uwuilekwe, has led the state technical team and engineers from the NDDC headquarters to assess the state of the Benin Abraka road.

Uwuilekhue, who embarked on this over 100kilometre journey for the purpose of ascertaining the true condition of the road, told our correspondent at the end of the inspection exercise, “We are on on-the-spot assessment of the Benin-Abraka road to take the actual measurements, so as to enable the engineers to come up with the actual scope of the road, and the cost will be known by both the state government and the NDDC.

“To make it easier, we are here with the team of engineers from the NDDC headquarters, and also from the Governor’s Office and the technical team of the state on NDDC projects, to see that there is proper analysis of the road before embarking on the project.”

Uwuilekhue met with Governor Obaseki, who also assigned the Edo State technical team and engineers to work with the NDDC engineers in processing plans for the road design, through the assessment, which has been embarked upon by the commissioner.
