Two young  cultists , Obruche Gregory  and one Victor (surname unknown) who   were   allegedly  accused  by the Joint Task Force  of  being  part of  those responsible for the killing of its  members  in 2015  are  said to have bolted away  and  their  whereabouts unknown.

Obruche Gregory , Isaac Odion  and Victor’s group  were allegedly accused by the JTF in 2015 of responsible for the killing of two JTF members in the creek where their cult gang operated.

The duo of Obruche Gregory and Isaac Odion were said to be part of ex-militants who returned to the creeks in the first year of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration protesting  that the amnesty programme of the Federal Government to rehabilitate the ex- militants  was placed in the wrong hands.

It was gathered that while Isaac Odion and many other of their group were arrested   by the JTF  over the allegation, Obruche Gregory was said to have mysteriously escaped and his whereabout has been unknown since 2015.

Gregory whose  childhood  history  is said  to be a tragic one as he was said to have lost his  family members to the Ewvreni  war back in the early 2000s is said to be a calm and easy going young boy  who was drawn into militancy for lack of  job.

After escaping arrest, he was said to have got information from his arrested members on the treatment meted to them by the JTF in detention and he bolted away with his whereabouts unknown since 2015.

It was gathered that with the general election coming up in few months, the JTF has intensified its action to ensure peace in the Niger Delta region and has intensified effort in getting those that are believed to be terrorizing the peace of Niger Delta.
