A 25-year-old man, Adewole Aderemi, has been arrested by the police in Osun State for allegedly killing a commercial sex worker, Janet Folashade Abioye.

Aderemi, a resident of Alekuwodo, Osogbo, was said to have picked the 20-year-old Abioye on the night of Friday, November 19, allegedly for a night of fun.

The Point gathered that the lady followed Aderemi to his house after the two of them had agreed on a fee for the one-night-stand.

The suspect, however, allegedly killed the woman while she was at his residence, and tried to remove her body from his room the next morning.

Some of the co-tenants of Aderemi, a graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, allegedly suspected his strange movements within the premises.

The co-tenants were said to have reported the development at a nearby police station when they discovered that the lady, whom he brought to the house, had died.

Aderemi was arrested while the remains of Abioye were evacuated and deposited at the mortuary.

The family members of the deceased accused Aderemi of killing her for alleged ritual purposes.

Upon completion of the investigation, the police arraigned the suspect before a Chief Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo on a count of murder.
