Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has suspended the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Clement Nweke indefinitely, with immediate effect.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Kenneth Ugbala, released Wednesday in Abakaliki, fingered insubordination and dereliction of duty as reasons for the suspension.
The statement further directed him to handover all property of the government in his possession to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
Until his recent appointment as the Commissioner, Nweke was the Personal Secretary to the Governor.
