Wenger unleashes Iwobi on Ighalo’s Watford

…As clubs prepare for FA Cup matches

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, is not so worried about his game against Watford in the English Premier League next Tuesday, but he is concerned about how to make Southampton’s visit a memorable one in the English FA Cup fourth round tie this weekend.

The Gunners, which are sitting pretty in second position on the EPL table with 47 points after playing 22 matches, winning 14, drawing five and losing three loses, are focusing on the two important matches that may make or mar their standing both in the FA Cup and the EPL.

Wenger is relying on Nigerian striker, Alex Iwobi, to do the damages and remain relevant in the series.

The Super Eagles’ player is optimistic about his team’s chances of closing the gap between them and pace setters, Chelsea, after the weeklong hostilities.

Iwobi recently delivered an Instagram message to Arsenal fans, after the win against Burnley, praising his team mates after their dramatic 2-1 victory over Burnley on Sunday, despite being down to 10 men.

The Nigerian winger also lauded the club’s fans as the 10-man Gunners leapfrogged Liverpool and Tottenham, who both dropped points, into second place in the EPL, saying, “The fans were amazing and kept singing till the end.”
