For fans that have been waiting for a song between Wizkid and Skales, their dream may come true pretty soon.
Speaking ahead of his new album, ‘The Never Say Never Guy,’ which is billed for release this year, Skales said they had recorded many songs together in the past before leaving EME.
According to him, even siblings have issues, not to say friends. He, however, did not rule out the idea of making music with his old-time friend.
He said, “Things are cool now. I just feel that we are in a different world right now, but we party and drink together whenever we see. He is a busy man and I have things I do too. Maybe one day, we would do something together; we can shock the world. We do not announce collaborations; you will just see them.”
Though Skales is more concerned about the business side of music now, he also insisted that he loved to continue to do music that everyone could relate with.
“I am more of a businessman now but at the same time, I want to make music that people can play in their cars. While I cannot give names of all the artistes who will feature on the album, Davido, Timaya, Tekno and Lil Kesh are already certain.”
Last week, however, the afro-pop sensation released a collaborative effort, featuring Tekno, titled, ‘Give Me Love’.
Produced by Spellz, ‘Give Me Love’ showcases Skales’ smooth delivery of endearing lyrics with a catchy hook and chorus. Tekno didn’t fail to demonstrate his understanding of the Nigerian music as well.
