The last may not have been h e a r d of the fresh baby mama case involving Davido and Ayomide Labinjo, a lady who alleged that the musician impregnated her four years ago and abandoned her and the baby, Anuoluwapo.
An acquaintance, who confided in our correspondent, had described the girl as a promiscuous lady, who was always seen at night clubs.
Labinjo alleged she met Davido at a night club in Ibadan in February 2013 where he approached her and spoke glowingly of her beauty.
She alleged they ended up sleeping in a hotel that same night. And that a month later, Davido visited Ibadan again for Gbenga Adeyinka’s Easter show and they hooked up again for a night out and slept together at a hotel in the upscale Iyaganku area of the city.
According to her, communication between them was intact until she told him that she was pregnant at the end of March 2013.
After a lot of drama, a copy of the test carried out at Clina-Lancet Laboratories, Babatunde Jose Street, Victoria Island, Lagos on September 2, 2014, showed that Davido was ‘excluded’ from being the biological father of the child.
But Labinjo had rubbished the result, alleging that she saw Davido giving a ‘big’ envelope containing lots of money to the person who conducted the test.
According to the source, it is possible she did not know the father of her baby because she must have had sexual intercourse with more than one man at that period.
He insisted that he knew Ayomide well and they got talking on the possibility of her coming to Lagos to spend some days with him.
“When I saw the story and her picture, I quickly visited my wall to see if she was the same girl. I was surprised that she claimed to have a baby for Davido because I know she is a club girl. We stopped talking when I realised she was pregnant.
“Personally, I do not think Davido is the father of her baby, though it is possible Davido slept with her as she claimed. Many of these artistes are fond of having sex with women who throw themselves at them.”
