After winning the 2016 Dominion City Music Awards 2016, which was held in Benin, Edo State, Dorcas Osariemen Uwague’s is optimistic about her future in the gospel music industry.
In a chat with The Point, the undergraduate of University of Benin stated that her dream was to maximise her talent, with a view to becoming as successful as her role model, Prisilla ‘CeCe’ Marie Winans. As she prepares to put out an EP of eight tracks, two of the songs, ‘Take my Heart’ and ‘Reign on High’ are already enjoying airplay on local radio stations in Benin.
According to her, she has taken years to study the great gospel heroine, Cece Winans. “I believe we have something in common and I share similarities with her. She has won everything; that is why she is regarded as the Golden lady of American gospel music generation. She has also won the Grammy award many times.”
